However, my friend said that important data in the system partition has not been backed up, so I tried the in-place upgrade and solved the problem very smoothly. Specific steps: First use the Windows XP installation CD to start the computer, press the "Enter" button to start installing Windows XP, then press F8 to accept the installation agreement, then the installation program will detect that Windows XP is installed in the system and give Prompt, then press the R button to select the repair installation, the rest of the steps are exactly the same as the normal installation of Windows XP.
