How to make the operation of modifying the registry more secure

  
        Although the data in the registry is very complicated, in order to improve system performance, we also have to work on the registry. However, when manually modifying the registry, it is likely to destroy the contents of the registry. For example, when you accidentally double-click a registry file (*.reg), the system defaults to "Merge". Its contents are imported into the registry, which can damage the entire system. In fact, we can change the system's response to double-click the registry file from the default "Merge" to "Edit" to avoid misuse. The specific method is as follows: Open any browser window, such as open “My Computer“Window", select the “Folder Options” command under the “Tools” menu, select “&ldquo” in the pop-up dialog box. ; file type & rdquo; tab, select the registry key with the extension REG, the default opening method specified in the details is the Registry Editor. Click the “Advanced” button, and the “Edit File Type” dialog box will pop up as shown in the figure. Select edit in the operation list and click “Set as Default” (S)” Click the "OK" button, after exiting, the default opening method of the *.reg file becomes a notebook. After the above settings, when we modify an item in the registry, we can export the item through “ Registry Editor, and then double-click the registry file, it will directly start "Notepad" Open the registry file for editing. When the confirmation is correct, import it into the registry, which will make it more secure to modify the registry.
