Custom XP boot screen

Customize XP startup screen:

When it comes to replacing the Windows boot screen, many friends will not find a tool such as eXeScope to modify or replace the resources of the executable file, or use BootSkin and the like. Is dedicated software to complete? It is recommended that friends who want to try it first set up a system restore point. If they are not satisfied with the change, they can directly restore it. In fact, there is no need to be so troublesome. In fact, in Windows XP/2003, as long as one parameter is used, the system boot screen can be changed in a few seconds without modifying the system files without any risk. The first step: to create your own boot screen image requirements: the picture is named Boot.bmp (note: the file name and extension can not be changed) size 640 * 480, 16 color bmp bitmap, saved in the system disk Windows directory . Suggestion: Create a new 640*480 black layer in Photoshop as the background, and then put your favorite pictures on the black layer. The picture mode is changed to index. Select 16 color (ie 4 bit) bmp pictures when saving. Saved in the Windows directory, of course, you can do it. Step 2: Modify the boot.ini boot file Open C:Boot.ini with Notepad, find the line where the Windows XP startup item is located, and add: “/bootlogo/noguiboot” at the end. Restart the computer and see if the boot screen has changed. If you are not satisfied, you can replace boot.bmp with your favorite new image.
