Fault 1. Local connection is restricted or no connection

[Fault phenomenon] Each time you enter the windows xp system, a prompt will pop up "Local connection is restricted or no connection", and the network There is a yellow exclamation point on the connection.

[Fault Analysis] If it is an intranet, check if the intranet server has assigned IP to the computer, or do you want to specify the IP manually? If it is ADSL dial-up, then the network setting in the network card is “ In the case where the IP address is automatically obtained, if the IP is not obtained, this will be the case. Because the network server of the network service provider will only allocate one IP to the virtual network card of ADSL, it will not be assigned an IP to that network card.

[Troubleshooting] The easiest way is to right-click the NIC on the system tray and click the “Status → Attributes” button to open the Local Connection Properties dialog box, in “General”. Remove the tab from “ notify me when this connection is restricted or no connection & "√” in front of the option. But doing so will cause Windows XP to search the DHCP server every time it is booted to get a dynamic IP, which affects the speed of booting the system. The best way is to remove “ notify me when this connection is restricted or no connection, “√” in front of the option, then <;this connection uses the following items>; double-click "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) & rdquo;, select “ use the following IP address & rdquo;, then enter for example 192.168.1.1 (IP address), 255.255.255.0 (subnet mask), manually specify the IP to speed up the windows xp startup speed.

Fault 2. Windows xp can not establish the correct connection

[Fault phenomenon] When establishing a network connection under windows xp, the connection error is prompted.

[Fault Analysis] This kind of fault is generally considered from the login password error, the software and hardware of the network card.

[Troubleshooting] First, start IE browser, click "Tools/Internet Options", switch to the "Connections" tab, enter the password to complete; if the fault persists, then check the NIC software and hardware. Right click on the desktop "My Computer", select "Attributes/Hardware", click "Device Manager", and check whether the network card has a yellow exclamation point in the opened interface. If there is a yellow exclamation point, reinstall the network card. If the fault cannot be solved again, uninstall the NIC driver and reinstall it. After the installation is completed, if the connection still cannot be completed normally, you can double-click the connection and set the IP address and subnet mask of the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the “Properties” property. The hardware and system are normal. Underneath, it should be able to connect properly.

Failure 3. Unable to use the new connection wizard

[Fault phenomenon] Due to the replacement of the broadband of the telecommunications, it is necessary to re-establish the broadband connection, so use the "network connection" The connection wizard is to create a new broadband connection. Somehow, the above "connected with a dial-up modem" and "connected with a broadband connection requiring a username and password" is a gray non-selectable state.

[Troubleshooting] Enter “services.msc” in the "Run" dialog box and press Enter to find the Remote Access Connection Manager in the pane on the right side of the "Services" dialog box. As shown in the figure, double-click the Remote Access Connection Manager, change its startup type to “manual”, and then click the “Start” button to start the service (see figure).

Fault 5.windows xp card with built-in driver Incompatible

[Fault phenomenon] Since the computer is set to serve as a proxy server, the D-Link DFE-530TX network card is installed as the second network card and installed. Boot into Windows XP, windows xp recognizes the network card and automatically installs the driver, and the system does not start properly.

[Fault Analysis] The computer has not done any operations before, only the driver of the network card is installed. Because there are many versions of DFE530TX network card, there are D-Link brand, there are also Legend brand; also divided into Rev A, B, C and other versions, different models of products use different drivers, brand models are not easy to have problems when they do not match . Windows XP automatically intelligently installs its own driver for the network card, causing the hardware and driver to not match, and the system is faulty.
