Firefox 3.6 RC1 released The official version will be launched next Monday

According to foreign media reports, Firefox browser developer Mozilla launched Firefox 3.6 first release candidate version (RC1) on Friday. If no major technical vulnerabilities are found in subsequent tests, Mozilla will release the official version of Firefox 3.6 as early as January 18 (next Monday). Mozilla was scheduled to release the official version of Firefox 3.6 by the end of December 2009, but for a variety of reasons, the release of the official version was postponed to the "first quarter of 2010". Before Mozilla released the Firefox 3.6 RC1 version, five corresponding betas have been released. According to Mozilla, Firefox 3.6 RC1 fixes nearly 100 technical vulnerabilities in the first five betas.

Mozilla said that if no major technical vulnerabilities were found in subsequent tests, users could first download the official version of Firefox 3.6 on January 18. Mozilla released the Firefox 3.5 RC1 version on May 20 last year and released its official version 10 days later. During 2008, Mozilla released the Firefox 3.0 RC1 version to the official version with a time difference of 13 days.

According to Mozilla's previously announced development plan, Firefox 3.6 will integrate the Personas plugin to make it easy for users to customize the appearance of Firefox. In addition, Firefox 3.6 will speed up startup time and increase security. Firefox 3.7 will further reduce startup time, such as reducing its boot time by 25% in Windows operating systems, and making it easier for users to install and upgrade plug-ins.

US Internet traffic monitoring agency Net Applications previously released statistics show that Firefox's share of the global browser market is currently about 25%.
