Installing Google Earth

  
on Ubuntu systems Ubuntu is currently the most popular Linux operating system. After the release of 7.10, Ubuntu has become even more perfect.

It's easy to install Google Earth on your Ubuntu system, and you can use Google Earth on Ubuntu in just two easy steps.

Google Earth combines Google Search with satellite imagery, maps, terrain, and 3D buildings to give you the world's geographic information.

  • Fly to your home. Just enter the address and press "Search", you can immediately zoom in on the location you are looking for.
  • Search for schools, parks, restaurants and hotels. Get directions to driving directions.
  • Tilt and rotate views to view 3D terrain and buildings, or to explore the sky.
  • Store and share your search and favorite places.

    Since the launch of Google Earth, users have been able to search the world and create content overlays (KML files) to share the results of their explorations with others. Now, every week we mark the KML file created by the user in the new Google Earth Gallery. You can also choose to add the Google Gadget for your gallery to your iGoogle page.

    Ok, no more nonsense. First download the latest Google Earth, the file name is: GoogleEarthLinux.bin. Suppose you download it to your home home folder directory.




  • To install on Ubuntu, you must give execute permission and execute the following command.

    sudo chmod +x GoogleEarthLinux.bin

    Or right click on GoogleEarthLinux.bin in the graphical interface, and tick "Allow the program to execute file" in the "Permissions" tab, as shown below .


  • Run the following command

    ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin

    installation interface will appear, as shown below, and Windows exe installer basically the same, even easier , point & ldquo; begin install & rdquo; that is to start the installation, of course, you can also modify the installation directory

  • installation is complete, Is it simpler than on Windows? Click the “Start” button to launch Google Earth, or you can find it in “Applications> --> “Internet”.
