X capacitor Y capacitor differential mode signal common mode signal

The use of X capacitors and Y capacitors, and their differences: 1. DC blocking 2. Bypass 3. Coupling 4. Filtering 5. Temperature compensation 6. Timing 7. Tuning 8. Rectification 9. Energy storage. Both X and Y capacitors are safety capacitors. The difference is that the X capacitor is connected to both ends of the input line to eliminate the series mode interference. The Y capacitor is connected between the input line and the ground line to eliminate common mode interference.

What is common mode and differential mode interference interference there are two kinds of patterns transmitted by a change in the wire voltage and current, we called this & ldquo;? common mode & rdquo; and & ldquo; difference Mode & rdquo;. The communication line of the power cord of the device, the telephone, and the like, and the communication line exchanged with other devices or peripheral devices have at least two wires, and the two wires transmit power or signals as a round-trip line. But there is usually a third conductor outside the two wires, which is "ground". There are two types of interference voltage and current: one is that two wires are respectively transmitted as round-trip lines; the other is that two wires are used as paths, and the ground wires are used for return path transmission. The former is called “Differential Mode”, the latter is called “Common Mode”.
