If you are in a large company and the company has a domain name query between the branch companies in Beijing and Shanghai, etc., the DNS server is required, and the subsidiary and the company have limited bandwidth load. The head office's server queries the DNS information. When the sub-domain in the area queries the DNS too much, it will increase the DNS load and affect the network. Because the sub-domain information is stored in the parent area file, in order to reduce the load on the DNS server, it needs to be done. The general step of DNS delegation is to establish a subdomain in the head office's DNS server and then establish a delegate to set up the forwarder and then in the branch office. Creating a primary zone


The first step in the experiment is to set up a subdomain on the server of the head office

Right click on the zone name to see a new domain option

Click New Delegation


Click Next


Enter the domain name to be delegated and click Next


Enter shangh Ai's fully qualified domain name and IP address


You can see that the fully qualified domain name is win08. The IP address is 192.168.1.3


Then click OK. It's OK


Then click Next


This completes a delegated domain setup and then makes settings on the machine in the child domain. Br>

Create a new main area file


Then click Next to select the main area


Click Next to write in the area name Enter the domain name shanghai.contoso.com


Then click Next to complete the creation of a zone file

Add an A record to the newly created zone


Set DNS in the client to point to 192.168.1.2 and then under nslookup
