Windowsserver2008 build ftp server

windows server 2008 comes with ftp set up complex, learning for a long time did not understand. So use other software to implement. The speed is quite fast. Record the process.

1. Install Ser-U

2. Configure Ser-U

(1) Set the download and upload speed. It can be set according to the bandwidth itself.

(2) set up activity management, mainly automatic reloading

(3) create a new domain, is to create a new ftp service.

(4) Set the server IP.

(5) Set the ftp service name, just set it.

(6) set the port, the general default is 21. But if there are multiple ftp services to prevent ftp port conflicts need to be modified, it should be able to set it, not too clear, just installed windows server .

(7) The storage location of the domain, generally by default.

(8) Put the domain online so that you can access it.

(9) Add new users. Can be accessed by others.

(10) Set the user name and password, and the folder that the user accesses after logging in.

(13) Set a test file in the ftp folder on the server.

3. Firewall Settings

(1) Open the firewall.

(2) Select inbound rules, create new rules

(3) Select several exe files in the Ser-U installation folder
