First, "Local Server" (Local Server) Properties

1, Local Server (Local Server): Here you can set whether to automatically open the FTP service and manually Turn on or stop the FTP service, etc.

3.Settings:

(1)General/Max. speed: The maximum transfer rate (kb/s) can be set.

(2)General/Max. no. of users: You can set the maximum number of users connected to this server.

(3)General's other projects are related to maintaining server security.

4, Activity (active state):

(1) Users: display the current login user IP address and other information and current working status; it is recommended to select “Auto reload”( Auto Refresh). If you select a user, right click and select “Kill User” to kick it out of the server.

(2) Blocked IPs: This is used to temporarily disable certain IP access to the system. Click the <quo;+” on the toolbar to increase the total time that can be temporarily disabled and the total time for logging in (starting from the increase). In the list, you can see the prohibited IP address and the corresponding domain name of the computer and the time (in seconds) of the disengagement. Right-click in the list to choose to delete the forbidden IP address.

(3)Session Log: Record all traces and error messages that are logged in (or attempted to log in) to the machine.

Two, "Domains" (domain name) properties

1, ftp.bbc.com (that is, the selected Ftp server name): here you can modify the corresponding domain name, IP address and port number Wait.

2, Settings: IP addresses that are completely allowed or prohibited from being logged in.

(1)General/Max no. of Users: Here you can set the maximum number of users allowed to log in to this Ftp server at the same time.

(2) IP Access/Deny access: Here you can set the list of IP addresses of computers that only refuse to log in to this Ftp server.

(3)IP Access/Allow access: Here you can set a list of IP addresses of computers that only allow login to this Ftp server.

(4) IP Access/Rule: Here you can enter the specified IP address or range of IP addresses. Accept a single IP address such as "192.168.0.88"; accept an IP address range such as "192.168.0.4-192.168.0.11"; accept as "“192.168.0.*” Wildcards; accept multiple formats such as the restriction of single characters such as "192.168.0.1?" “Add” for adding, “Remove” for deletion.

(5) Message: Here you can change some of the prompt display information, such as "Signon message file" (start broadcast), "Server offline" (the server is not working), "No anonymos access" (do not accept anonymous login) and so on.

3, Activity (active state):

(1) Users: display the user logged in to the server and its status; it is recommended to select “ Auto reload & rdquo; (automatic refresh).

(2)Domain Log: Record all traces of operation and error messages that are logged in (or attempted to log in) to the server.



4, Groups (Group):

⑴ using Groups (group) can be a good pre-established one or more determined attributes (read and write), and control authority (Provide or prohibit access to certain IP addresses). Later, when we create new users, we need to add them directly. We do not need to repeat the settings. The establishment of the group can greatly reduce the setting workload. .

(2) Create a new group: Select “Group→right →New Group”, then enter the name of the group in “Group name" and press “finish” As shown below:



(3)Setting "Dir Access" (Directory Access Permissions): Select “Add”(Add) to increase the target directory here ( Can be multiple), and then set access permissions one by one. For details on this item, please refer to the related content in this tutorial.

(5) Group replication: You can copy the created group as you would a file. Select the group name, right click, and then select “Copy Group” to copy this group and copy several times. Really good function!



⑹ use & ldquo; Group & rdquo; (group): In & ldquo; Users & rdquo; selected user name to use the group, and then click the right panel & ldquo; Group (s) & rdquo; after Icon, select the desired group name (use Ctrl or Shift to select multiple groups at the same time; multiple group names are automatically separated by commas).
