When installing network devices, such as network cards, we seem to inevitably deal with network protocols, such as common TCP/IP, NetBEUI, etc. So, what is the use of these network protocols, how do we choose in the face of numerous network protocols, how to install them for common protocols, and we will come to you in the following.
Microsoft's network operating system Windows Server 2003 (referred to as Windows 2003) has added a lot of valuable features, such as remote maintenance of the Web interface. With this feature, network administrators can remotely maintain the entire Windows 2003 system through a web browser. Let's take a look at the convenience of the remote maintenance web interface.
Installing Remote Management (HTML) Components
To use the Remote Maintenance feature, Remote Management (HTML) components must be installed. Click the "Start → Settings → Control Panel" option, then run "Add or Remove Programs", in the pop-up window, switch to the "Add /Remove Windows Components" page.
In the "Windows Components Wizard" dialog box, go to the "Application Server → Internet Information Services (IIS) → World Wide Web Service" option, select the "Remote Management (HTML)" component (Figure 1), and finally Click the "OK" button to start the installation configuration of this component.

Tip: After the installation is complete, a new interface named "Administration" will be added under the "Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager" website directory. "The website project.
Log in to the web service management interface
On the remote client, run the "Internet Explorer" browser and enter "https://61.190.141.241.26:8098" in the address bar. "61.190.141.241" is the IP address of the Windows 2003 server, and "8098" is the port number used for remote maintenance. Then pop up the login dialog box, enter the administrator username and password, click the "OK" button, log in to the Web service management interface.
Tip: Remote web management uses the "https" protocol, which encrypts the data transmitted on the network and can effectively prevent important information from being illegally stolen.
Remote Maintenance of Windows 2003 Servers
Using the remote Web services management interface, you can remotely maintain the system status, network status, users and groups, sites, and web servers of Windows 2003 servers. If the server is up and running, the word "Status: Normal" will be displayed at the top of the main window.
1. Users and Groups
In the main "Service Management" window, click the "Users" link to switch to the User Management window. Local users and groups can be maintained here.
Click the "Local User" option to go to the "Local User on Server" page (Figure 2), which lists all the user accounts of the Windows 2003 server. You can create a new user by clicking the "New" button on the taskbar. In addition, you can delete existing users, modify attributes, and so on.

Switching to the "Local Groups" tab, the operation of the user group is also simple, and it is convenient to create, modify, and delete.
2. Server Status Maintenance
Click the "Maintenance" link to switch to the Server Status window. Here you can view and modify the server running status (Figure 3).

● Date and Time Settings
It is possible to adjust the date, time and time zone parameters of the Windows 2003 server.
● Close
This function provides three operations: restart, shutdown, and scheduled shutdown. Note: Planned shutdown operations must be supported by the Task Scheduler service.
● Log
The log function can accurately understand the running status of the system. You can also clear and download these log files.
● Remote Desktop
For users who are not used to remote maintenance using Web mode, you can use the Remote Desktop function to maintain the system under the graphical user interface.
3. Network Parameter Maintenance
Click the "Network" link to switch to the Network Properties page. Here you can maintain and modify some basic network parameters: server ID, network interface properties, server IP address and port number, administrator account, and so on.
In addition, the use of Web services management functions can also maintain the website, Web server, email server, etc., here is not detailed, as long as you carefully understand, you will feel its powerful features!
