One-step file compression and writing into the U disk

U disk has become an indispensable tool for mobile storage, although its capacity is now larger and larger, but it is always too small in actual use. Although it is possible to compress the file and then copy it to the USB flash drive, the operation is still inconvenient.

Recently, I found a good way: using WinRAR, you can compress and copy files to a USB flash drive, so that documents can be quickly transferred to a USB flash drive.

Open the "E:\\Documents and Settings\\username\\SendTo" folder in Windows XP (Windows 98 is C:\\Windows\\SendTo), right click with the mouse in the blank space and select "New" Shortcut", the "Create Shortcut" window appears, enter C:\\Program Files\\WinRAR\\WinRAR.ext a J:\\pzhb.rar -ep1 -m3 (assuming the U disk letter is J), click "Next ", enter the name "Compress to U disk".

Open "My Computer", just select the file you want to copy, right click the mouse, select "send to /compress to U disk", you can quickly compress and send the selected file to the U disk Pzhb.rar compressed package.

Explain the meaning of the above WinRAR parameters: "a" is to add files to the compressed file; "-ep1" means to exclude the base folder from the name; "-m3" is to use the standard (default) compression method To compress the file. You can also add the "-s" parameter later to create a solid compressed file and use the "-p" parameter to set a password for the compressed package. A detailed explanation of the parameters can be found in the help documentation for WinRAR.
