MSN perfectly penetrates the firewall

There are a lot of friends who use MSN Messenger or Windows Messenger as instant messaging software, but for some objective reasons, such as community LAN users, intranet users, and firewalls installed on the local or external system, we are using Voice chat, video chat, file transfer function, often can not be successful, can only use the above functions when both parties are public IP users? Here I introduce a software called ENat for MSN Messenger, which can solve the above problems after installation.

First, the basic information of the software

As the name suggests, ENat for MSN Messenger can only be used in MSN Messenger, and must be Windows XP operating system, if it is Windows 2000, you must install SP2 patch package The latest version of the software is 2.1, the file size is 1.39MB, and the http://www.easyfp.com/msn-messenger-directtalk/download.html page can be downloaded to the latest version. Note that there are different versions of the feature: ENat Voice For MSN Messegner, ENat Transfer for MSN Messenger, ENat File Receiver for MSN Messenger, ENat for MSN Messenger. Here, of course, we are downloading ENat for MSN Messenger, so that we can get full feature support.

The download is an executable file named enat.exe. Note that during the installation process, you will be prompted to enter the user name and serial number. You can click the "Trial" button to try it out for a while, and then you will tell Your PC-Nat Miniport software does not pass the Windows test, you can leave it alone, click the "still continue" button to complete the installation.

Second, activate ENat

Manually run the ENat program from "Start → All Programs", this will open the window shown in Figure 1, in fact, it looks very simple, in addition to displaying the machine In addition to the IP address, the received and sent packets will be updated on the right side of the window. Of course, the most important ones are the following buttons.

FIG. 1

1. Check Network Status: detecting network status, i.e. to know whether the machine is behind NAT.

2. Enable ENat: Activate ENat function

3. Register ENat: Register ENat software

4. File Received Directory: Folder directory for receiving files

Here, we can know that although this machine is directly connected to the Internet, it is behind the firewall, so there may be some restrictions when using MSN Messenger voice chat, video chat, file transfer function. So here you need to activate ENat by clicking the "Enable ENat" button below. Of course, if you see the message "You don't need to enable ENat for MSN Messenger. You can make MSN voice_video talk and file transfer.", you don't need to enable ENat.
Third, the penetration of firewall restrictions

Now, we can penetrate the firewall restrictions, with friends to voice chat, video chat or transfer files. Below, the author briefly introduces the relevant operations:

1. Implementing voice or video chat

Even if the two parties are behind different firewalls, we can break through this limitation with ENat, because ENat will automatically change the UDP port frequency to between 4000-65535, as shown in Figure 2. The effect is not bad, right?

2. Transfer files

Due to various restrictions, file transfer is often unsuccessful in MSN Messenger. At this point, we can click the “File Reveived Directory” button in the window of Figure 1 to open the dialog box of Figure 3, here You need to first determine the file save path, and then return to the MSN Messenger main window, you can now transfer the file smoothly, as shown in Figure 4, you no longer have to worry about the limitations of the firewall. 4
