Realize voice chat with QQ and NetMeeting

With the popularity of the Internet, online chat is nothing new to everyone, but over time, people can't be satisfied with simple text chat, because words can't accurately express people's rich emotions. And long-term typing on the Internet can make friends who like to chat feel tired. Although we can chat over the phone, the horrible phone bill is hard to try. Is there a way to use voice chat while surfing the Internet? The answer is yes. We can easily implement it using two software QQ (ie OICQ) and NeeMeeting that are commonly used online.
First, the required hardware
A computer that can access the Internet, must be equipped with a sound card (preferably a full-duplex sound card), speakers (or headphones), microphone.
Second, the required software

I don't need to say more about this, and now I don't know it on the Internet, it is currently the most used domestic domestic pager. The latest version is QQ 2000b Bulid 0405, which can be downloaded from its official website (www.tencent.com) and can be downloaded from major software download sites in China.
2.NetMeeting
NetMeeting is a network information exchange system developed by Microsoft. The general operating system comes with this tool software, which can transmit text, sound, images and so on on the network. We can use it to call other users on the Internet or LAN to achieve functions such as talking to the other party, sharing applications, sending files, and remote control. NetMeeting is usually installed on your computer by default when you install Windows. If you don't find it in the system, you can install it through the Windows system installation disk by "Control Panel → Add /Remove Programs → Windows Installer → Communication → Microsoft NetMeeting", check the NetMeeting option, click "OK", the system The corresponding part of the installation will be automatically found on the installation disk (Figure 1).
Third, the corresponding settings
After installing the above software, you can not use the VoIP phone immediately, because the first run requires some settings.
QQ
1. When you start QQ for the first time, a login dialog box will appear prompting you to log in. If you have not registered the QQ number yet, please select “Registration Wizard” and follow the prompts to select “New Apply for a QQ Number” to register (Figure 2).
2. Enter your basic information and set up the network according to your actual situation (Figure 3).
3. Finally the server will assign a QQ number of your own.
Note: QQ must be connected to the Internet when setting up.
NetMeeting
1. For the first time NetMeeting starts, the interface introducing NetMeeting will appear. After reading it, click “Next” to continue.
2. Enter the personal information you need to use NetMeeting. Enter your own information in the corresponding text box, including last name, first name, email address, location, and comment. The last name, first name, and email address are the items that must be entered. Click “Next” to continue. (Figure 4)
3. Log in to the directory server. If you want to log in automatically, select the "Log on to the directory server when NetMeeting starts" checkbox. If you don't want to display your name and email in the directory listing when you log in to the server, select the "Do not list my name in the directory" checkbox and click "Next" to continue (Figure 5).
4. Specify the connection speed. After making the corresponding selection according to the configuration of your own machine, click “Next” to continue (Figure 6).
5. Audio Tuning Wizard. Follow the on-screen instructions to adjust the volume of the listening volume and the volume of the output, and confirm the microphone working status. When finished, click “Finish” to end the NetMeeting setting (Figure 7).
Fourth, use
Step 1: Connect the computer to the Internet, then start QQ and log in online.
Step 2: In the QQ “My Friends” list, click the online friend's avatar with the left mouse button and select “Web Conference” from the pop-up menu to start your voice journey.
Step 3: Fill in the reason for the request in the text box of the "Send NetMeeting Request" dialog box (Figure 9),
For example: Fill in "Hello, can you chat with you?", then click "Send" Request", the system will automatically start NetMeeting and wait for the other party to respond. If the other party calls you with the "Web Conference" function, the "Accept NetMeeting Request" dialog window will pop up (Figure 10). Click the "Accept Request" button, the system will automatically start NetMeeting and connect with the other party.
Step 4: When the other party accepts your request, the “NetMeeting Dial-in Call” dialog box will appear, click the “Accept” button (Figure 11), and after the NetMeeting main window appears, you can use The microphone talks with the other party to realize voice chat.
Step 5: After the call is over, click the second icon on the right side of NetMeeting, “Hang up” (Figure 12).
