FlashGet's three "part-time" features

What do you think of when you mention FlashGet? Indeed, it is a download tool when we go online. But today I want to subvert the tradition and tell you that FlashGet is not just about downloading.

1. Information Memo

I don't know if you are downloading and registering a lot of sharing software like the author. With so many registration codes, does it make you feel that it is very troublesome to remember? Then, try FlashGet. Select a software in the "Downloaded" window, right click, select "Comment", you can save the registration code of the software here (the software or other files being downloaded can also be added by similar methods). Just open "File → Output Download Information" in turn, you can save the information as a web page according to the instructions of FlashGet.

2. Data backup crazy

Backup? This task seems to require Ghost to complete the impression, in fact, FlashGet is also a backup handcuffs. However, you must first install the Windows Component of Internet Information Services (IIS) and set up a local HTTP service. The rest of the peacetime downloads are not much different. Create a new download task, enter the path of the file to be backed up in the “URL” of the “Add New Download Task” dialog box, and enter the path to save the file backup in “Save As”. Then, open "Tools → Options → Schedule", and then make the relevant settings to achieve a regular backup of FlashGet. For example, if you finish editing the file at 5 o'clock every afternoon, set the "Start" property to "Plan" in "New Download Task", and then set the time to start downloading the file to 17 in "Options→Plan". point. Then when you finish your daily work, FlashGet will automatically back up your work. You can also manually update the backup file by opening Tasks→Check for Updates after FlashGet has finished the backup.

3. Update the fast lane

The new software download should be multi-threaded. Is it only possible to use the automatic speed upgrade program that comes with the software? Moreover, the update speed is crazy. The software does not have its own automatic upgrade program, is it that you have to search over and over again? With FlashGet all the troubles are solved. Just select a downloaded file, then right click and select "Check for Updates". Then, FlashGet will check if the software has been updated on this server. If the version of the software in the server has been updated, FlashGet will automatically download a new version of the software. In particular, the use of FlashGet to update the software is very efficient "multi-threaded" and very user-friendly "breakpoints".
