How Win10 turns the search button into the search bar

After you have changed it, you can right-click on the taskbar to display the search bar and search icon, or stop the search button function altogether. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Enter regedit in the Start menu search bar or “Run” and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
2, find the following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionSearch (if there is no search item, right click on the CurrentVersion to create a new item, rename it to Search)

3, create a new DWORD value, name EnableSearchBox and set the key value to 1. If this key is present, change its value from 0 to 1.


4, logout and login, the new search bar will appear on the taskbar.
