Microsoft's Win10 operating system will be officially released at the end of this month. After half a year of public testing, the operating system now has a very high maturity, but that doesn't mean it has become perfect. The technology website Trusted Reviews recently counted nine problems that still exist in Windows 10, and we hope that Microsoft can fix them in the official version.
1. Tags in the file browser
One of the most popular features of the user is to add tags to the file browser. This feature allows users to use the same web browser. Different tabs are opened in the same window, thus avoiding the desktop being occupied by a large number of windows. Although adding such features is not difficult for Microsoft, they are not interested in this idea. Win10's file browser has been changed to a large extent, but the tag function is obviously not added to it.
2, PC settings and control panel
Microsoft has added a Modern UI-style PC settings window in Win8, which is independent of the traditional Windows control panel, which includes some key settings options of the system. This feature has also been used in Win10, but the previous problems have not been resolved: many options in the control panel are still not added.
In addition, Win10's computer management interface also needs a thorough modification — — Microsoft really needs to provide users with a faster and simpler way to format the hard disk.
3, the higher degree of personalization of the start menu
Although Win10's start menu has added a highly personalized dynamic tile interface, but the main link area is a bit rigid. Although it provides a list of the most commonly used applications, it is not as personalized as Win7. If you want to move the power or user account buttons, or replace the PC settings with the control panel, unfortunately, these are not possible.
In addition, the main application list of the start menu is also very clumsy. In Windows 7, users will see a compact list after clicking "All Programs", which is quick and easy to navigate. The icons in the new app list are all very large, which slows down the navigation.
4, virtual desktop configuration
The addition of virtual desktop features allows users to arrange open applications on multiple desktops, but the desktop itself cannot be customized. For example, you can't change the background or icon arrangement in these desktops.
5, icon update
Microsoft has added a new angular interface with a more angular and high contrast in Windows 8, but it has not been able to run through the entire operating system. Win10 has been improved on the basis of the former. At present, most of the icons and functions in the system have been replaced with new interface styles, but the omissions still exist.
6, better mobile platform integration
Cross-platform is one of Win10's biggest selling points, as an operating system running through mobile phones, tablets, notebooks and desktops, it is obviously very suitable for hybrid devices Run on.
However, Win10 does not provide a seamless transition between different device types, which is a bit behind Apple's OS X. In the latter operating system, you can make calls or send and receive text messages directly on your computer, or continue to use the previous web browsing, email and map content on other devices.
7, stability issues
Win10 is generally very smooth in use, but users will still encounter inexplicable crashes or other stability issues. Although they are not happening frequently, Microsoft does need to fix these issues before the system is officially released to present the user with the best possible experience.
