How to change the desktop path to non-system disk

  
under normal circumstances, the desktop path is on the system disk C disk, some users like to put a lot of files on the desktop, in fact, the file is stored on the C disk, which takes up over a long time. C disk has a large storage space, which affects the speed of the system. A good solution is to change the desktop path to other disks. Let's see how this method works under Windows 10 system.
Windows10 steps to change the desktop path to a non-system disk:
First, enter the Win10 computer, then enter the system disk, and then enter [user] - [system account folder] - and then find [Desktop] folder, then right click on the [Desktop] folder, and select [Properties] in the pop-up menu, as shown below.

[Note] Since the author installed Win8.1/Win10 dual system, Win10 is installed on the H disk, so the above system disk enters the H disk. Generally speaking, if you only install one system. , then the system disk defaults to the C drive.
Second, in the open desktop properties dialog box, first switch to the [Location] in the tab, and then click [Move] at the bottom, as shown below:

Three, in the pop-up " ; Select a target & rdquo; dialog box, we click on the computer on the left, and then select a folder on the non-system disk & ldquo; desktop, as shown below.

Note: I changed the Win10 desktop path to a non-system E drive. You can create a “desktop” folder in the E drive beforehand, and then select it directly in the third step. You can also create one at a time when you choose.
Fourth, after completing the target folder selection, click [OK] at the bottom to complete the change of Win10 desktop path, as shown below.

After the simple four steps, the user can change the desktop path under the Windows10 system to a non-system disk. Now you can save the file on the desktop without worrying about increasing the space storage of the C drive. The pressure is gone.
