How Windows 10 sets the time to automatically turn off the monitor

Turning off the monitor is a good way to save power when the computer is not in use. However, it is too much trouble for our users to do this, and the system itself can accomplish this task. The following is how Win10 sets the time to automatically turn off the display.

Procedure

In the first step, double-click the desktop control panel icon to open the Control Panel, find it in it and click on Select <;Hardware and Sound”.

Tips: There is no control panel icon on the desktop. You can try to press the Win+R shortcut to open the control panel. If it is a large icon view, you can directly click to select “Power Options” to directly transition to the first Three steps.

The second step, in the hardware and sound interface, find and click "Power Options".

In the third step, in the power option interface, click “ select the time to turn off the display on the left panel.

In the fourth step, in the Edit Plan Settings interface, click the down arrow on the back of the display and click on it to select the time period that you think is right for you.

Step 5: After the setup is complete, click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom.

After completing the above steps, you can try to stop any operation, let the system idle, wait for the time you set, and see if the display will go out. If not, it may be that some programs keep the system running, press Win + D to minimize all programs and try again.
