If the gray volume bar next to the device name changes to a green volume bar, the device is already Activated; and the microphone or line input port will have an acoustic signal. This step indicates that the microphone device is normal.
If the gray volume bar is still gray and the device cannot be activated, then the device does not recognize the sound signal. Please do not close the <;sound" window, then go to step 2 to check the microphone volume and whether it is muted.
You can also judge whether the microphone is normal or not according to whether the computer can record the microphone signal and play it. Perform the following steps to create an audio file using the Windows Sound Recorder:
First, connect the microphone to your computer.
Second, click “start”→“all programs”→“attachments”, then click <;recorder”.

Third, find the file you recorded, and double-click the file name to play the recording. Files should be playable in sound software that supports audio file types (WAV or WMA). You can open a sound file using Windows Media Player.
Second step, set the correct default device:

(A) Voice mode:

2, adjust the slider to 75% of the overall volume.
3. If "Mute" is enabled, click the mute button to cancel “mute”. The mute button should appear as a blue speaker without a red circle.
4. If "Microphone Enhancement" is available, adjust it to +20.0 dB.
5. Click the “OK" button to save your changes.
If both steps are normal, but in the karaoke mode, only the background music has no microphone sound, please go to step 3.

Note: Some microphones in the sound card speakers may not exist. There should be one item: “Rear Pink In”, in fact, this item is “Microphone”.

Switch to the Listening tab and select the listening device. This should solve the problem.
Note: This step is not necessary. For some sound cards, there may be a lot of noise in this speaker, or the microphone and the speaker are out of sync. The phenomenon is that you can hear your own voice ( Echo), the item should be removed at this time.
There may be some problems, such as stereo sound mixing can not be displayed, then you should consider that your sound card driver is not the latest, to update the sound card driver, go to step 4.
The fourth step, update the audio driver:
You may find that the microphone port on the front end is invalid, and a recording device is missing from the “Recording” tab. It cannot be recognized after inserting the microphone or other problems. Updating the audio driver may resolve this type of issue.
After performing the following steps, confirm that the audio driver is up to date:
A, connect to the Internet.
B, click "Start”, and enter “Device Manager" in the "Start Search” field.
C. In the “Device Manager” window, double-click “Sound, Video and Game Controller”.

If no updates are available, skip to the next step.

9. If the problem of your stereo sound mixing is still not liberated here, this is because the sound card driver provided by Windows does not guarantee to solve all problems. At this time, you need to manually download it to the official website of your sound card manufacturer. The latest driver for your sound card. Some sound cards may not solve the problem by downloading the latest drivers. For example, some sound cards do not have stereo sound mixing. You should consider changing the sound card. Of course, you can switch back to the XP system.
