The two recipes make Win7 easily recognize the birth of the new system of the old optical drive

, which will inevitably bring some new problems. For example, some old DVD drives cannot be identified in the Windows 7 system. Microsoft officially explained that it is due to the SATA driver (Msahci.sys). The new power management features of Adaptive Link Power Management (ALPM) have caused certain optical drive ALPM features to be enabled and disabled to function properly and cause the computer to fail to recognize the old DVD drive. The explanation is there, but the solution has not been released. In fact, try the following solutions, and maybe give you a big surprise.
Method 1: Open the Registry Editor and navigate to the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/Current ControlSet/Control/Class/{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}] item, directly to the “Upperfilter” item and “ Delete the Loweverfilter” item and restart your computer.
Note: This method may cause some programs to malfunction after deleting the two key values. For example, the CD burning program may not be usable. Usually, just reinstall the latest version of the program to solve the problem.
Method 2: Open the Command Prompt window with administrator privileges, enter the following command "bcdedit /set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS" (without the outer quotes), after the execution is successful, you can solve.

Summary: The first method can be solved temporarily. I recommend using the first method to back up the registry before operation to prevent unnecessary risks. The second method is relatively easy to operate, and the risk of modifying the registry is eliminated. Users may wish to try the second method.
