However, even if the SSID consisting of letters and numbers is not set to “broadcast”, the intruder can scan the corresponding wireless network and successfully invade through tools such as bt3, bt4, and network ants. Only by modifying the SSID information to Chinese can the above problems be completely avoided. The reason is that Chinese characters are garbled in these softwares on the one hand; on the other hand, because many intrusion tools are developed by foreign developers, they are not supported by Chinese and are not compatible.
There are some devices on the market that fully support Chinese SSID, but there are still many devices that do not support the use of Chinese to name SSID. In this case, there are two ways to solve this problem:
1. Browser Method
Device Requirements: The equipment requirements are relatively low. Even if you do not use third-party firmware such as DD-WAT or Tomato for the wireless router, you can use this method to change the SSID to Chinese.
First step: Since many wireless router management interfaces are created by JSP or JAVA programs, the restrictions on the Chinese SSID can be removed by disabling the JAVA component. Since IE browser has no related features by default, it can only be solved by using Firefox browser. First, access the wireless router calendar interface through the Firefox browser. By default, garbled characters will appear.
Second Step: In the Firefox browser's "character encoding", set the language to "Chinese" to solve the garbled problem. Also uncheck the option to enable javascript” in the Firefox browser.
The third step: refresh the management page, enter the Chinese SSID information again, and the prompt “Illegal ASCII code” will not appear.
Step 4: After saving, through the wireless scanning function of the operating system, (no wireless?{:3_60:}) can see the wireless network with the SSID modified to Chinese characters. After the setup is complete, re-check the "Enable javascript" option in the Firefox browser to avoid being affected when browsing other pages in the future. 2.telnet method
This method requires the wireless router to open the Telent service, but not all wireless devices open the service by default, you need to determine before proceeding The service is turned on.
First step: Under normal circumstances, wireless routers that have third-party firmware such as DD-WAT or Tomato will open the Telnet function by default, and some D-Link and Linksys wireless routers have related functions. Just enter the “Telnet wireless router management address” through the prompt window and check it. If the prompt for entering the user name and password appears, it indicates that the function has been enabled.
Tip: The username entered in the Telnet state will always be root, and the password will be the same as the account password in the graphical management interface.
Second Step: After entering the wireless router command line management interface through Telnet, you can set a Chinese SSID through the nvram set wl_SSID="SSID name" command.
Step 3: After modification, you can real time View the changes to the SSID information through the graphical management interface, but there will be garbled characters, don't bother.
Step 4: Next, use the nvram commit command to save the settings in the command line management interface, and finally restart with the reroot command.
