Retrieving the Windows7

  
in the Windows.old folder. The version of Win8 that is currently under development is getting faster and faster. I believe many of my friends have already installed the trial. However, since Win8 has not been officially released, there are bound to be various bugs or other compatibility issues in the current Win8 system. So everyone's fresh energy to Win8, it is inevitable to re-use Win7 system.
If you did not install Win7/Win8 dual system when installing Win8, you can only reinstall Win7. However, if you install Win8 in a custom way and do not format the system disk partition during the installation process, the file resources used in the Win7 system will be saved to the Windows.old folder, so we can pass the following Way to retrieve Win7 in this folder.
1, view the file resources in the system disk
First use the Win7 installation disk to start the system, then press the F8 shortcut key when the system starts, select the "Repair computer" option in the Win7 advanced boot menu To bring up the "System Recovery Options" dialog box (Figure 1); then click the "Command Prompt" link in Figure 1, open the "Command Prompt" window and execute the following DOS command ( As shown in Figure 2, each time you enter a DOS command, you need to press the Enter key, the same below):

After the above steps You can see the names of the files and folders contained in the system disk.

2, delete and move file resources
After completing the above operations, then execute the following DOS commands in the position where the cursor is located in Figure 2 (Figure 3):

del /f /s /q “Program Files”
rd /s /q “ProgramFiles”
move C:Windows.old*.* C:
Tip: The meaning of the first two DOS commands is to delete all file resources in the directory “C:Program Files” and delete the “Program Files” folder in the root directory of the C drive; the meaning of the third DOS command is Move all file resources in the "C:Windows.old" directory to the root directory of the C drive.
After completing the above three DOS commands, select "Start Repair" in the dialog box shown in Figure 1. Follow the prompts to complete the repair work on the Win7 system and restart the system. You can use the previously installed Win7 system. It is. A friend with this need may wish to give it a try.
