When updating the graphics card driver under Win7, if you uninstall the existing graphics card driver and then directly install the latest graphics driver, the system sometimes prompts the installation error, and even causes the new graphics driver to fail to install, unless you let Win7 install it automatically. The driver with the drive can be installed with the new driver to install the latest driver. But this way of covering installation will not affect the performance of the graphics card, no one knows, but we can find a way to bypass the verification of Win7 and directly install the new driver of pure graphics card.
Get system folder modification permission
Because Win7 system automatically backs up a driver file (under the Windowssystem32DriverstoreFileRepository folder of the system disk), and the default is to install this driver, so if you want to install a new driver, you must first Delete the driver files in this directory. However, in general, the default user does not have permission to delete files in this folder, so we should first obtain the operation permission.
First right click on the nv_disp.inf_x86_neutral_0705e2ead80da9c9 folder, select Security - Properties, select the advanced settings for special permissions, then select the current login user, add all file operation permissions. After obtaining this permission after completion, you can successfully delete the files in this folder.

Restarting the computer to install new drivers
After obtaining the operation permission of the directory, the user can uninstall the current graphics card
driver. . After uninstalling, do not restart the computer immediately, enter the Windows system32DriverstoreFileRepository folder of the system disk again, find the directory of the nv_disp.inf_x86_neutral_0705e2ead80da9c9 graphics card driver, and delete all the files in the directory.
Then you can reinstall the graphics driver. The new driver installed in this way will be a fresh installation, not over the previous driver.
Download and install new driver
Risk tips: You can also delete the driver files related to the graphics card under the system folder
Of course, if the user has strong hands-on ability, you can also enter the system disk and put "Windows" ; System32” folder, find the relevant files to delete in it, if it is N card, it is "NV", at the beginning; if it is A card, it is "ATI"; ATI” Note that there are many files that need to be deleted in this part. In order to prevent accidental deletion of other system files, there is a simpler way to observe the installation date of these files. Generally, the creation date of the file and system files related to the graphics card driver is different, and the file date can be easily seen in WIN7. It is easy to distinguish the driver file from the system file according to the letter at the beginning of the file and the date of creation.
Then go to the "Windows" "System32”“Drivers” folder, also find the file starting with NV/ATI for deletion here, it is best to judge whether it is a driver based on the date the file was created. For example, if you install an N-card system, there are 5 files starting with “NV”, but only 2 are the graphics driver files and need to be deleted.
Enter the folder corresponding to the graphics card driver in the “Program Files” folder of the system disk. The N card corresponds to “NVIDIA Corporation”, and the A card corresponds to “ATI Technologies”. After that, you can safely install a new graphics driver. If it is an A card, you also need to delete the CCC configuration folder under ldquo;C:UsersAAAppDataLocal”<;ATI”. Then you can install a new clean graphics card driver.
Incorrect deletion of other files
The whole operation is not complicated, but it needs to be careful, especially when deleting files, if the normal system files are deleted by mistake, the system may not work properly. Therefore, be sure to pay attention to the creation time of the file, and check the publisher of the file, and confirm that it is released by NVIDIA/ATI. In addition, Win7's Driver folder also has NV SATA, RAID and other drivers, these are also the beginning of NV, be careful not to delete it by mistake.
