Win7 sleep disorder

The weather is hot, and the electricity is also very tight. Many friends usually choose to let the computer go to sleep when they need to leave the computer for a period of time. On the one hand, they can save points, on the other hand, they can quickly wake up and enter the working state. However, many friends often encounter strange problems such as “sleeping” or “hibernate options” when setting up various sleep states of Win7. Today we will solve these problems one by one, so that Win7 can "sleep well".
Solve Win7<quo;sleeping”phenomenon
We know that if you don't change anything, after installing Win7, the default standby state of the system is called sleep mode. In this state, the computer will cut off the power supply except the memory. The temporary data before sleep will be kept in the memory and enter a very power-saving state. The computer wakes up from this state for a few seconds, much faster than rebooting, and the previous program environment remains, and can be put into work immediately.
Some students will find that after they have put their computer into sleep, even if they don't do anything, it will be inexplicably awakened. What is going on? This is usually a "wake-up timer" function. If this function is turned on, then your computer only needs to open certain timed programs, such as regular updates (this basic has been turned on), the computer will be automatically woken up at that time, so that you want the computer to sleep. The purpose is not up to. The method of turning off the "wake-up timer" is very simple. From the start menu, go to the "Control Panel & Rarr; System and Security & Rarr; Power Options & Rarr; Change Computer Sleep Time" option, and then click “Change Advanced Power Settings&rdquo ;, in the pop-up window, expand the "sleep" option, set the "Allow Wake-up Timer" option to disable (Figure 1).

Disabling the wake-up timer to avoid wake-up
Other students will find that their computer status is not the same as described above. It should have been a device other than memory, but they found that The CPU fan and the graphics card fan are still turning, obviously not entering the most energy-saving state. What is going on? This situation usually occurs on older computers because the computer's BIOS settings are incorrect. In the “Power Management Setup” “ACPI Suspend Type” option, if you select the “S1(POS)” option, the fan will still be rotated. Select “S3(STR)” The above state will not occur.
Use the command line to retrieve the hibernation option
After leaving the computer for a short time to use the sleep mode, the sleep mode is usually selected when the computer is not used for a long time. The system saves the temporary data on the hard drive, and then all the accessories are not powered, just like the shutdown. When you start the computer, the system will first read the usage data saved by the hard disk into the memory. The state before you hibernate can be restored immediately, faster than the normal boot, and can quickly enter the working environment.
Some students will find that there is no hibernation option in their shutdown options, or they have hibernation but the option is gray and cannot be clicked. What to do about this? Use the Powercfg component that comes with the system to diagnose it!
Click on the “Start” menu, type “CMD” in the search box and press Enter. In the pop-up window, enter “ldcfg;powercfg -a” (eg Figure 2), the system will list the sleep status of the current system and not. If you don't have the following sleep status on this system, enter "ldcfg;powercfg -h on" and press Enter, you can find the hibernation option in the shutdown option (Figure 3). If "One or more legacy drivers are installed" is displayed, it means that some drivers conflict with hibernation and need to update or uninstall the driver. If the display "The system firmware does not support this standby status", it means that your motherboard is too old and needs to be replaced.

Enter“powercfg -a”list the current system with and without sleep state

<quo;powercfg -h on” command can make hidden sleep option display
In addition, It should be noted that the sleep mode is not good for many programs that need to be networked. The solution is to either quit these programs before the system sleeps, or restart the networked programs after ignoring the errors that are caused by these networked programs.
Turn on Win7's unique mixed sleep
Some students know that the Win7 system has added a hybrid sleep state. This "mixed sleep" is that when you sleep, the data stored in memory is saved to the hard disk at the same time. In this way, if there is no power failure, the system will quickly recover from the memory, the same as the sleep mode; if the power is off, the system will recover from the hard disk, just like sleep, so that it is not afraid of sudden power failure during sleep.
In general, the desktop Win7 system is enabled by default for mixed sleep, but everyone's Win7 version is different, and some students' Win7 does not open this mode. In addition, the notebook's Win7 is also enabled by default. How to open it? Just like the previous change "Wake-up timer" option, first go to "Change advanced power settings", expand the "Sleep" option in the pop-up window, set "Allow mixed sleep" to "Open" & rdquo ; (Figure 4). In this way, in the "Shutdown" option, select "Sleep" to enter the mixed sleep state. In addition, if your hibernation function is off, then this hybrid sleep option will not appear in the settings, you need to use the Powercfg component to enable hibernation.

Setting "Allow mixed sleep" is set to open
Download madman no troubles
Whether it is sleep or hibernation, its network is disconnected, and for download madman, I hope that the computer can be downloaded in the case of power saving. Win7 does not have this feature by default, but we can modify the registry to enable the new "leave mode" to download when possible to save power. This "leave mode" is similar to sleep, except that in the leave mode, the file is read, written, operated, and networked, and unnecessary devices such as graphics cards and sound cards are turned off to achieve energy saving.
First, enter the "Change advanced power settings" option (the same as before), set the "sleep" option in the "sleep" option to be 0 (ie never sleep). Then set the "hard disk” option" in this option to turn off the hard drive & rdquo; time is 0. Then click on the Start menu and type "<regedit" in the search box to enter the Registry Editor. Expand “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession ManagerPower”, in the right pane, create a new "DWORD (32-bit)" value named "AwayModeEnabled" and assign it to “1” (hexadecimal) (eg Figure 5), it will take effect after restarting. Then click on the “sleep” button in the Win7 Start menu to automatically enter the “Leave Mode”.
