Microsoft set out to investigate Windows 7 exploiting SMB's remote attack vulnerability

On the 12th, we sent "Windows7 and Win2008 R2 0day surprise remote attack vulnerability". On the 13th, Microsoft confirmed to Cnet that they are investigating recent reports of fatal flaws in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Vulnerabilities can be exploited for remote attacks and can cause a user's system to crash.

A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that Microsoft is investigating a possible denial of service vulnerability in the Windows Server Message Block (SMB). A security expert named Laurent Graffie posted a sample code on the blog and said that the vulnerability in Windows is too low.

This vulnerability puts the Service Message Module (SMB) in an infinite loop, while the SMB protocol is widely used in Windows file-sharing services. The vulnerability was discovered one day after Microsoft released the first major update for Windows and Office software on Tuesday for the first time in November.
