Turn on multi-touch in Windows 7 Beta

An important feature in Windows 7 is the multi-touch feature. So how do you turn on multi-touch in Windows 7 Beta? The Microsoft Windows official blog published an article on how to open it.

First, you need a PC that supports touch features. Currently available on the market are:

*HP TouchSmart All-in-One PCs (IQ500 series & IQ800 series)

* HP TouchSmart tx2 Tablet PC

* Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC

Secondly, you need to install the latest multi-touch driver to make the screen recognize the touch indication. However, these drivers are currently in the Beta phase, and must pass the WHQL test before the official release. We cannot guarantee that all pre-installed Windows 7 machines are equipped with the WHQL driver.

* HP TouchSmart All-in-One PCs: The driver for this machine can be done with Windows Update only

* Dell Latitude XT and HP TouchSmart tx2 Tablet PCs: Available in N- Download from Trig’s website

In fact, in Windows 7 Beta, many features are related to multi-touch.

For example, the paint brush in the drawing can be controlled with your fingers, but the number of supported fingers depends on the machine's support for multi-touch. Some support only 2, and some can reach 4 settings.

In IE8, users can use their fingers to scroll up or down anywhere, or to point to the left/right by hand.甩 to complete the forward/backward operation. In addition, the taskbar is also touch-optimized. If you touch it, you can open Jumplists with your finger.

If you want to enlarge the screen, start-search for display and select it in the open control panel.
