Detailed settings of the built-in FTP component under Win7

  
 

Share files in the LAN, FTP is one of the more convenient solutions. Win7 integrates FTP internally, but it takes a lot of effort to set it up. Write a note to remember.

First, install the FTP component

Since Win7 does not have the FTP component installed by default. Therefore, the first step in FTP setup is to install the FTP component

Click: Control Panel & mdash; "Programs and Features & mdash;" to turn the Windows
function on or off. Check the "FTP server" and "FTP service" and "FTP scalability", click “ OK & rdquo;, install the FTP component. As shown below


Second, add FTP site

Click: Control Panel & mdash; "Administrative Tools. Select <;Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager", as shown in Figure


Double-click "Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager". Pop up the manager interface, as shown below:


Click to select “site”, and right click on it, select “Add FTP Site”, appears“ The Site Information & rdquo; interface is as follows:


Name the FTP (in this case: zhu) and set the physical path of the FTP site (in this case: c:\\ftp) ), click “Next”, "Binding and SSL Settings" interface, as shown below


IP is set to the IP address of this machine, port is FTP The default is 21, SSL is checked “no ". Click “Next”, the “Authentication and Authorization Information” screen appears, as shown below:


If you just want to set up a simple FTP, then “Authentication” ” and “Authorization“ both check "Anonymous" and set the appropriate permissions for anonymous. In this example, you also need to configure the account for FTP and the permissions of the account, so “authentication>checked "basic>;>;authorization>checked “unselected”,click“ ”, complete the FTP site settings.

Third, set the FTP account and permissions

Because the FTP account under Win7 is a Windows user account. Therefore, you must first add two user accounts, one is View, you can browse and download FTP content; one is Admin, completely control FTP.

Click: Control Panel & mdash; "Administrative Tools & mdash;" Computer Management. On the left side of the computer management interface, click: System Tools & mdash; "Local Users and Groups & mdash;" User, all users are displayed on the right. As shown below:


Right click on “User", "New User" appears as follows:


Enter View in the username, set the password, remove the checkmark “Users must change the password when they log in next time, check “User cannot change password” and “Password never expires”. Click “Create” to complete the creation of the user view. The same steps to create an Admin user. Since Windows adds users to the Users group by default, you can remove the two users just from the Users group. The method is to click on “Group Management” in “Computer Management”, and find Users in the list on the right. Double-click on it and the following interface appears. Click on User View, click “Delete”, and click User Admin. Click “delete”. Remove two users from the Users group.


Next, in the FTP site, add permissions to View and Admin.

Click: Control Panel & mdash; "Administrative Tools & mdash;" Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. Click on the newly created FTP site. Click "FTP Authorization Rule" in the point. As shown below:


Click on the "Edit Permissions" button on the right to add user permissions to the FTP site folder. In the pop-up window, click the “Security” tab. , as shown below:


Click "Edit", the window for permissions appears as follows:
