Fault resolution:

1. No sound card or sound card driver is not installed

Since it is a newly installed system, some of the device systems cannot support the driver, so you need to install the sound card driver separately. It can be used. It is recommended to use the driver wizard to install drivers for your sound card.

2, no audio playback device is connected (the speaker is not plugged in or the headset is not plugged in)

In Win7 system, if there is no playback device such as speakers or headphones. This prompt will not be detected by the system. In this case, the desktop opportunity is more. It is recommended to check if the connection is connected.

3, system audio service is not enabled

If the system audio service is turned off, it will also cause a red cross on the volume icon. Please do the following checks:

Right click on the computer and select Manage. The Computer Management dialog box will pop up, find the service and application options, as shown below:

Then find windows audio Right-click on the second windows audio (that is, Windows Audio Endpoint Builder), and then right-click on the first windows audio. As shown below:

Sometimes when the time is free, the volume icon will also turn into a red cross. In this case, you only need to click the volume icon, and make sure your volume is not muted.
