Back up system information Some points you need to know

Execute “Control Panel”→“All Control Panel Items”→“Backup and Restore You can enter Win7 Backup and Restore" Center, where we can complete system backup With restore is all the operations.

1. System-integrated system imaging tools

(1). Unprepared  system image backup"

No doubt, system Image backup is the most thorough backup of Windows system backups, which is a must for system administrators. In fact, doing system image backup is not only based on precautions, but also to facilitate the rapid deployment of systems in the LAN. A dedicated system image backup tool is provided in Windows 7, so we don't need a third-party tool to easily back up the system image.

Also in the Windows 7 "Backup and Restore" center window, click on the "Create System Image" link in the left pane to launch the "Create System Image" wizard. For security reasons, it is not recommended to save the system image on the same disk as the system, because if this disk fails, the system will not be able to recover from the image. Based on this consideration, you can save the system image on a DVD disc or save it somewhere on the network.

(2). Life-saving straw & ldquo; system repair CD & rdquo;

System error or even crash is inevitable, there is a repair CD often can make the system come back to life, we can provide system in Windows7 The tool creates a system repair disc. In the “Backup and Restore” window of Win7, click the “Create System Repair CD” link in the left pane to launch the “Create System Repair CD” wizard, which can easily create a system according to the wizard. Repair the disk. You can see that the two key files Winre.wim and boot.sdi are on the CD, responsible for system booting and repair. Use the "System Repair CD" to guide the system to the final effect exactly the same as the system repair that comes with Win7. However, the "system repair disc" is more widely used. When you can't even enter the "Repair Computer", the repair disc will come in handy. In addition, this "system repair disc" can be used for booting and repairing of the Vsita system.

2. System Backup

After the Windows 7 installation and deployment is completed, it is necessary to make a Windows backup, which is very necessary for system recovery and migration. In the "Backup and Restore" center, click on the "Set Backup" link to launch the "Widnows System Backup" wizard. We can save the backup to any non-system partition with enough space on the local, and of course it can be saved to a network location, such as a file server. Enter its UNC address in the network location, along with its network credentials such as username and password. If you want to save it locally, I recommend that you save it in a partition of another local hard disk. For backup content, Win7 saves the data in all users' libraries, desktops, and Windows folders by default, and also creates a system image. Of course, some backup items are not what we need, so we can customize what we want to back up as shown in Figure 5. Here we can check the content that you want to save (such as the library, user-related content in the system disk and application information, etc.), if you do not need to save the system image, you can remove "including the drive System Reserved, (C:) The system image & rdquo; front of the hook.

It is important to note that after customizing the backup task, the system will perform the backup plan every Sunday at 19:00, which is very easy for some administrators to ignore. Someone once set up a backup task and did not modify the default backup plan. Since the system was backed up, the system did not even perform a backup because his PC was running at 19:00 on Sunday. In this regard, we can modify according to their own needs, generally set the backup to a relatively idle time period of the working day. In addition, we can also set the frequency of system backup. For system security requirements, you can set up a backup every day. After the Windows Backup setup is complete, click on the “Enable Schedule” button and the system will perform the backup according to the schedule you set. Of course, we can also perform “Backup Now  or change the backup plan.

3. System Restore

Generally, when system errors, instability, or reinstallation of system migration user configuration, we can quickly restore or migrate system configuration through the "Restore" function. Enter the Windows 7 "Backup and Restore" center, users can restore from backup as needed. For example, you can restore only “ my files & rdquo;, you can also restore “ all user files & rdquo;. In addition, we can also restore from other backups. Of course, if you have done a backup of the system image before, you can perform a restore of the entire system. Click the “Restore System Settings or Computer” link to enter the System Recovery window and click on the “Advanced Recovery Method” link to enter the “Advanced Recovery Method” window. Here, there are two recovery methods for you to choose: First, restore the computer with the image, provided that the system image has been created before; second, reinstall the system with the Win7 installation disk, and then restore our files from the backup. These two methods have their own advantages and disadvantages, and everyone can choose according to their needs.
