How to create a virtual disk partition in Win7

  

First, create a VHD file

1. Right click on “Computer” and select ““Admin” in the pop-up context menu. In the “Computer Management” interface that opens, click Select "Disk Management" to enter the disk management interface.

2. In the “Disk Management” window, click the “Create” button in the menu and click the “Create VHD” command to open the “Create and Attach Virtual Disk Wizard” dialog box. Enter the location where the virtual disk file is saved here to save the file to a larger partition. Then enter the capacity of the virtual disk in "virtual disk size", where we can enter as needed.

3, there are two single options, where the "Fixed size" item means that the virtual disk is set to use a fixed amount of space, and "Dynamically expanding" is dynamically adjusted according to the saved data. After the setting is completed, click “OK">; The system automatically completes the creation of the virtual disk.

Second, the attachment VHD file

1. Click the “Operation” button to add the VHD” command to open the “Add Virtual Hard Disk” dialog box and click the Browse button. Select the VHD file you just created and click OK to add the virtual disk to the “Disk Manager”, which is shown here as Disk 1.

2. Right-click on the drive and select the “New Simple Volume” command to bring up the Disk Partition Wizard. Here we can partition the virtual disk as needed. After the partition is complete, we see the new disk partition of the program in Disk Manager.

3, these two partitions are VHD disk partitions, in the future we can directly partition operations in "my computer". After the VHD virtual partition is created, copy the VHP virtual machine files to the partition and we can use it directly.
