Solve Win 7 network share failure

When Winodws 7 and Windows XP cannot access each other in the “Network Neighborhood” (including both intra-LAN and dual-machine interconnection), you can follow the steps below. The figure is based on Windows 7, and the operation method of Windows XP is similar, and the cause of the failure is found.

1. Turn off the firewall. First, please turn off the Windows 7 and Windows XP firewall, and if the third-party firewall is installed on your computer, please turn it off.

2. Open the Guest account. Also open the Guset guest account in Windows 7 and Windows XP.

3. Turn on file and printer sharing. At the same time, open the "File and Printer Sharing" function under the firewall of Windows 7 and Windows XP. In addition, if it is remote access, you also need to open the "Remote Service Management" function in the firewall.

4. Check the settings of the anti-virus software or system. Some anti-virus software has the control function of Internet access and remote service, which may affect the access of “My Network Neighborhood”. You can try to check the security rule settings of the anti-virus software or temporarily disable the anti-virus software.
