How to enable AHCI mode to avoid blue screen Open hard disk AHCI mode method

The Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI), a technology led by Intel, can take advantage of the potential acceleration of SATA hard drives, which can increase the read and write speed of hard drives by about 30%. After the hard disk AHCI mode is enabled, your hard disk will also support the hot plug function, which will reduce the disk fragmentation of the hard disk and extend the life of the hard disk.

The AHCI mode of the hard disk needs to meet the following two conditions:

1. The motherboard supports AHCI mode because the AHCI function needs to be enabled in bios.

2. The hard disk is a SATA hard disk and needs to be SATA2.

Open the hard disk AHCI mode Steps:

1. Open the Start Run dialog box, then enter the :regedit command. Click OK when finished.

2. In the open registry editor, expand the following branch: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\System\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\Msahci

3, double-click on the right side of Start In the Value data box, type 0, then click OK and close the registry.

4, restart the computer, enter the bios settings interface when the system starts, select Integrated Peripherals and enter.

5. After entering the Integrated Peripherals, select PCH SATA Control Mode and select the AHCI mode below.

6. Press F10 to save and exit.

7, after the system starts, go to your motherboard's official website to download the latest AHCI driver installation.
