Let win7 and WinXP dual system coexist in C drive

Win7 and XP form a dual system and coexist C disk, there are 2 main problems, one is that they have three folders with the same name, DocumentsandSettings, ProgrameFiles, Windows, after the installation will cause the previous system can not start properly. You can change the XP installation path by modifying the XP installation disk so that XP is installed in a folder on the C drive instead of the root directory. The second problem, after installing XP, you can use the EasyBCD software to implement the dual system selection menu.

modify xp installation disk:

modify XP installation disk 2 files WINNT.SIF and HIVESFT.INF. It is recommended to copy (or decompress) the installation disk to the hard disk, and directly install the hard disk after changing the file, eliminating the need to change the re-packing. Find the WINNT.SIF file in the I386 folder, open it with Notepad, find [Unattended] in the file and change the TarPath="Windows" under it to TargetPath=”/WinXP/Windows”, and add ProgramFilesDir= under it. "/WinXP/ProgramFiles" and CommonProgramFilesDir="/WinXP/ProgramFiles/CommonFiles" are saved. Then find the HIVESFT.INF file in the I386 folder, and also open the genuine xp system download with Notepad. Find DEFAULT_PROFILES_DIR=”%SystemDrire%DocumentsandSettings” and save it to DEFAULT_PROFILES_DIR=”%SystemDrive%/WinXP/DocumentsandSettings”. WinXP is the XP installation directory you want, you can set it yourself, but it must be consistent. Note: If there is no relevant content in the above two files, please add the line in the corresponding location. After more than two good

modified files into the PE system from the hard disk to install XP. After the installation is complete, the system that is entered is XP, and you need to fix Win7 boot through EasyBCD. First install .NetFramework2.0, then run EasyBCD, select "Manage boot project",

find the "Reset WindowsVista guide the project," click on "Write." Restart.

reboot into the system is 7, also run EasyBCD, choose "Add - Remove (Project)", select "windows", version select "Windowsnt /2k /xp /sk3" disk that you install XP system Disk, renamed is the display of XP you want in the boot menu. Click to save.

though not their originality, but their own path again, and I feel pretty good.
