Magic Group Policy allows Win 7 to prevent unfamiliar U disk boot

The current network has become very popular, but I have to admit that U disk is still one of the indispensable exchange tools. Like all external media, this feature of the USB flash drive makes it a natural virus carrier. It is often exchanged and it is easy to bring the virus Trojans from other computers back to our computer.

Is there any way to make Windows smarter, automatically identify your U disk and reject other U disk? Maybe you will think that Xiaobian is here in the Arabian Nights, but in fact, in Windows7, such an operation is really good!

The whole operation is divided into two stages. The first is to let Win7 know your U disk, and the second is to set the rules to let the system automatically reject other U disk.

Step 1. Insert your U disk into your computer, open [Device Manager], expand [Computer] → [Disk Drive], and then find your U disk.

Step 2. Double-click the U disk item to enter the property page, then open the [Details] panel, change the [Properties] to [Hardware ID], and then copy the first value in the hardware ID. .

Step 3. For the same operation, copy the hardware ID in [Universal Serial Bus Controller] → [USB Mass Storage Device]. The specific steps are the same as above.

Step 4. Click on the Start menu and type "gpedit.msc" in the search bar to launch the Group Policy Editor.

Step 5. Find and expand [Computer Configuration] → [Administrative Template] → [System] → [Device Installation] → [Device Installation Restriction].

Step 6. Turn on [Disable installation of devices not described by other policy settings] and [Allow installation of devices matching the following device IDs], and copy the U disk and The hardware ID of the USB mass storage device is filled in the [Display] panel of [Allow installation of devices matching the following device IDs].

Ok, click OK and the configuration will take effect. Just plug in a USB flash drive and try it out. How, the power of group strategy is not very powerful!

Did you feel that the Win7 application tips above are very convenient? Now the price of U disk is very low, the use is very common, but one of the biggest hidden dangers is the spread of viruses, especially after a U disk is used by more than one person on multiple computers, who knows which computer will spread the virus, if There is no anti-virus software installed in your system, so it’s not good to "look and shoot".
