Get the fingerprint recognition function of the notebook under Windows 7

This article will teach you to get the fingerprint recognition function of the notebook under Windows 7, here to be clear, the program is aimed at the Asus f81se, the system is Win7, the article will introduce two The plan, I suggest you read the complete text and then operate, so as not to cause unnecessary trouble.

Scheme 1

1. Install fingerprint recognition software. ASUS 32-bit Win7 fingerprint driver download: http://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/Drivers/FingerPRints/Fingerprints_UPEK_Win7_32_120151.zip, if you want to find the latest or 64-bit system driver, please go to http://support.asus.com.cn/download/download.ASPx?SLanguage=zh-cn, select “UPEK Fingerprint Identification Driver” in “Other Drivers” to download and install, as shown below.

2, enter the "Control Panel", "Hardware and Sound", "Biometric Device" and "Use Fingerprint to Log in to Windows" of Windows 7 system. Here you can see the software related information of fingerprint identification. One of the items is "Unregistered". If you choose to add a fingerprint at this time, the system will prompt "Cannot start enrollment for current user. Biometry is disabled by Operating system policIEs." I believe this is also a problem most people encounter. I am also stuck here for a long time. In fact, I want to explain to you here, Win7 does not allow the default system administrator account (that is, Administrator) to use fingerprint recognition. The reason is that it is so simple, can't you think of it? If your computer has another account Y, use this Y account to log in to the system, and then click the above method to enter the fingerprint identification directory of the control panel, you can add your fingerprint.

Someone here has to ask, if so, isn't every time the fingerprint is used to log in to the system corresponding to this Y account? I don't want to do this. I want to log in to my default administrator account, which should be solved. Then please see the text below.

Scheme 2

1, download http://files.upek.com/SendPackage.asp?Key=NZE5AK2S111JJ0UD047FJ6FH0MV742Z1&ID_Files=473 The file name is W7PS2009Build5846-32bit.zip, extract the installation. (Or look for http://www.upek.com/support/downloads/Windows7/learnmorew7.ASP from here). This is a security suite for fingerprint identification, including fingerprint recognition driver and security management software. One of the important functions is the fingerprint data export and import function, which is very practical. (You don't need to install the previous fingerprint recognition driver software before installing this kit, otherwise you will be prompted to uninstall)

2, use Win key + R (run), type "control userpassWords2" to create an administrator. New users, such as Y, need to set their login password for this Y account.

3, log out and log in to the new account Y, register your fingerprint. This should be very simple, oh, if you don't know, then good, please open the "Control Panel".... (multiple registration of a few fingers, it is not good to add later). Then, through the Protector Suite's "Control Center" "Export User Data" function, you can save the fingerprint you just set to the hard disk or other U disk. The file format is *.vtp.

4, once this file is exported, log out the new user Y, log in to the built-in administrator account Administrator, first delete the newly created user Y (many methods, you can also run: "control userpassWords2"). Next, rename your built-in administrator account to the username you just deleted (meaning to rename the current Administrator to Y), and the username must match exactly (note the case).

5, logout, and then log in again (of course, log in with Y).

6. Run the Protector Suite and use the "Import User Data" function to import the fingerprint data file you just saved.

Note that you need to enter a password during this process. Friends who have operated online banking know that you need to set a password when exporting the certificate. This should be remembered. OK, now you can use your fingerprint to log in to the system. Note: You can only use your registered fingerprints, you will never be able to add new fingerprint registrations, or edit the enrolled fingerprints in other ways. So, just told you, set a few more fingers.
