because the work needs to analyze the source of a message and other information, because I am used to using Office Outook to view the mail attribute information, and the current system default mail program is Windows Live Mail , so use "Open with" to specify that the message is opened by Office Outlook, but the inadvertent designation of the open method does not remove the "always use the selected program to open such a file" check results can be imagined.

While this operation does not enable Office Outlook to properly open the mail file (.eml type), you can only restore the previous state first, based on previous experience with Windows XP. In the "Folder Options" you can set the file key and open mode, but under Windows 7 gOxiA is lost! I haven't found it for a long time, because it is because of the RC version. It is difficult to search for relevant information in the help system. At least I can't search for related help through several keywords. But I can be sure that the system will have a place to set up, which reminds me of the control panel - the configuration center of the system, after trying hard to find the location.

Open the control panel. By default, the control panel is arranged in categories, so as shown in the figure below, we need to click “Program” to find the default program settings. Here we can change the specified type. How to open the file and the default program settings.

Click "Set Default Program", we can see the default program currently registered in the system in the program list box on the left side of the figure below, select Windows Live Mail, and click on the right "Select the default value of this program", then check the extension of the ".eml" type in "Setup Program Association" and click OK to complete the setting.

Of course, we can also specify the opening method for a specific file type by clicking "Associate file type or protocol with program" in the default program settings panel.
