Windows 7 system is slow and color correction is a problem

If it is an old user of Windows 7, from M1 to Beta, then from RC to RTM, you are constantly trying it out, you may find that you are using Windows 7 After the photo viewer, some users' system speed will be slower. Especially when you use Windows Photo Viewer to view files in some image format, the system call process is obviously "slow".

The reason for the slowdown of the Windows 7 system is that "Use Windows 7 Display Calibration" is enabled.

Small knowledge: Why does enabling "Use Windows 7 Display Calibration" slow down the system?

Using the color correction function provided by Windows 7 will generate an ICC configuration file in the system. After that, when the user browses the image file, Windows 7 does not call the component that comes with the graphics card, but calls it. The resulting ICC profile.

Tip: If the user has not used the color correction function of Windows 7, the ICC configuration file will not appear, and the above problem will not occur.

For this, the solution given by the forum users is to delete the "CalibratedDisplayPRofile-0.icc" file under "X:WindowsSystem32spooldriverscolor". However, this method can only solve the problem temporarily and cannot be solved once and for all. Because once someone uses the color correction feature that comes with the Windows 7 system on your computer again, the file will be generated again.

The author believes that a better method should be like this: Go to the Windows 7 Control Panel, find and open "Color Management" ("Control Panel" - "Hardware and Sound" - "View Devices and Printers", Right-click on any of the printer icons—“Printer Properties”—“Color Management” tab); an easier way is to open “Color Management” directly in the search bar of the “Start” menu. In the Color Management dialog that opens, switch to the Advanced tab and click Change System Defaults in the lower left corner.

Subsequently, the system will pop up a dialog box "Color Management - System Defaults". In this dialog box, also switch to the "Advanced" option, and then cancel the "Use Windows Monitor Calibration" check box by default. After the modification is completed, save the settings and exit.

Please note that after the official release of Windows 7, only some of the graphics cards will conflict with the system default settings. That is, the above methods are not applicable to every Windows 7 user. . If you find that the picture is abnormal after disabling the color correction enabled by default in the system, please re-enable it and manually correct it once.

It looks good and it's easy to operate: On the Windows 7 desktop, right click on "Network", (in the pop-up menu) select "Properties" and a new dialog will pop up.

Click on the "Wireless Network Connection" button at the bottom right and the "Properties" window will pop up. Click the "Wireless Properties" button in the middle section to pop up the interface. Then click the “Show Characters” item to view the corresponding wireless network password.
