Windows 7 wants to save applications that Vista can't run

This is because Microsoft has made some efforts to save some applications that become incompatible with the operating system after upgrading to Vista.

Microsoft issued an article on the official blog this week: In addition to the main principles of ensuring compatibility with Windows Vista and Windows 7 compatibility, our goal is to further improve the application that cannot be executed on Windows Vista. The program can be executed on Windows 7.

So far, Microsoft claims to have made about 30 international applications that were previously unusable in Vista, available in the Windows 7 environment. These rescued applications include: Traditional Chinese version of Asure Purchase/Sale/Stock Master 2008, Cyberlink DVD Suite v6, Asure Accounting Master 2008.

Microsoft said: This means that Windows 7 application compatibility will be higher than Windows Vista. The Microsoft blog lists a series of non-English applications that have been rescued. According to this inference, Microsoft should also save some English applications, but the company did not provide a list.

Application compatibility has always been regarded as one of the important indicators of the new version of Windows. One of the main reasons why Vista is criticized is that it does not support many existing hardware and software when it was first introduced.

Windows 7 is considered to be a relatively small compatibility issue, partly because of Microsoft's efforts, but also because Windows 7 has not changed much in terms of driver modules and other aspects that may affect compatibility. Microsoft has also taken some measures, such as technically named Windows 7 as Windows 6.1, trying to make the new version of the operating system more compatible with the old version of the application.

However, although most Vista-compatible applications should be able to run Windows 7, Microsoft still pointed out that there is always a type of application that must be modified with the new operating system because it is closely linked to the operating system. Security software is an example, this upgrade is no exception.
