Today's Windows official blog officially lists the customer benefits of Windows 7 EnterPRise, detailing what this version means for business users. Windows 7 Enterprise Edition is designed to meet the needs of enterprise users, such as advanced data protection, increased user productivity, streamlined PC management, and more.

Windows 7 Enterprise Edition is part of the Windows Optimized Desktop product, which includes the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) tool and is only available to users with Microsoft Software Assurance. If you are a corporate user with Microsoft Software Assurance, you will automatically get the right to deploy Windows 7 Enterprise when Windows 7 is released. In addition, users who purchase Windows 7 Professional and join Microsoft Software Assurance can also get the right to deploy the Enterprise Edition.

*DirectAccess: Both Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 are used. This network technology allows users to easily access the company's network resources without having to create a VPN connection.
