Automatic login with Win7, the taskbar is always reset

Some Windows 7 users found that when their system is automatically logged in with an account, the system's taskbar settings will return to the default settings. The same problem also occurs on Windows Server 2008 r2.

"When you restart your computer, any custom settings made to the taskbar will be reset to the default settings. This problem is caused by a running problem between Windows explorer and taskhost.exe." Microsoft said.

Microsoft does provide a hot patch solution that allows users to avoid resetting the taskbar. However, Microsoft does not provide system updates. Therefore, users need to contact Microsoft customer service directly to be informed how to solve this problem.

Microsoft emphasizes that this hot patch only needs to be added to the system software that needs to be patched, and this hot patch requires more testing. Therefore, if you are not deeply affected by this issue, Microsoft recommends that users wait for the next system update.

Like the previous version of Windows, users can automatically log in to an account. This means that the startup process automatically loads the private information.

Automatic login has two settings. First: Users can type NETPLWIZ in the search box in the Start menu and press Enter. Second: Press the key combination "win+R" and select Run, type control userpasswords2 and press Enter. In the User Accounts dialog box, select the account you wish to log in automatically, uncheck the box to the left of "User must type the username and password to use the computer" and select Apply.
