Windows 8.1 Update 1: Boot to desktop and UI changes

Windows 8.1 Update 1 is nearing completion and is still in beta, but we can also see some upcoming changes through screenshots. However, the “Start to Desktop” function will only be enabled by default on non-touchscreen machines. I believe that current Windows 8.1 users will also welcome this option after applying Update 1 update. However, for touchscreen platforms, this feature is not enabled by default.
For non-touchscreen PCs, the start screen will become more friendly to keyboard and mouse operations.

Microsoft even added power and search buttons to the start screen, but the former will not display on touch screen devices. I don't know if Microsoft deliberately made it, or a small bug in the development period.
Other changes include a small horizontal bar at the top of the Modern app, so that mouse and keyboard users can easily perform operations such as minimizing or closing. Of course, the touch screen machine still does not display by default.

The last is the right-click menu of the start screen. Right-click on the Live Tiles to select the size and unpin.
