Fixing the mouse lag problem in Win8.1 games

Before we reported that some users experienced a mouse lag in the game after upgrading to Win8.1. There were no related solutions at the time, but all problems could be solved by changing the game's executable file.
As reported by gHacks.net, the mouse lag is due to the fact that there is no way to properly read the mouse movement without using the original input or direct input, because Microsoft modified the DPI framework in Win 8.1.
In order to fix the mouse lag of Win8.1, you need to find the executable file of the game, right click and click the "Properties" option. In the "Compatibility" column, check “Compatible mode running game” and select “Win8” from the drop down menu.
In addition, enable “ disable high DPI setting display ratio at the bottom of the screen, click Apply to close the window.
This is fine. If you still experience mouse lag, make sure you have the latest driver for your mouse and have all the Windows updates installed.
