Microsoft said on Windows Business and Springboard series blogs that Windows 8.1 will allow PCs to connect to printers via NFC to complete print jobs. Another upgrade to Windows 8.1 is the addition of the Wi-Fi hotspot feature. With the Wi-Fi hotspot feature, users can turn their PC into a router and share network connections with other devices. In terms of security, Windows 8.1 also added support for fingerprint recognition and Virtual Smart Card.
