Windows Media Center is not pre-installed in Windows 8 Release PrevIEw. To use Windows Media Center, you need to add it by following these steps:
1. Swipe on the right edge of the screen and click Search. (If you are using a mouse, point to the top right corner of the screen and click Search.)
2. Type Add in the search box and click or click to add the feature to Windows 8.

4. Select the check box to accept the terms of the license agreement and click Add Features.


5. Your computer will restart and Windows Media Center will be added to your computer and the image will be fixed to the Start screen.
