Summary and Answers to Win8 Issues Concerned by Chinese Users (Part 2)

This article continues the "consumer attention to the Win8 problem summary (middle), (on)", once again for you to sort out some common Win8 questions and answers.
9. How to boot to the previous "safe mode"?
There are several ways, such as entering "Change PC Settings" - "General", select the last item "Restart Now", but the easiest way is to execute the command shutdown /r /o, or simply press Shift directly While the key is not being placed, click "Restart" in the "Power" menu with the mouse.

After restarting the interface, a blue background advanced startup interface will be displayed. Select "Troubleshooting" - "Advanced Options" - "Startup Settings" and click "Restart". After the computer has been restarted, you will see the familiar F8 boot menu and select the number corresponding to the safe mode to enter safe mode.
10. The F8 shortcut in the boot phase is canceled. How do I enter the system advanced boot option during the boot phase?
Win8 For a faster start, the wait for the F8 key during the startup phase is canceled. So if the boot process is very smooth, but when the login screen is blue screen, or when the login interface encounters a driver conflict, causing the keyboard to malfunction and other problems and can not log in to the system, how can I boot to the advanced startup interface, so that I can choose Is the security mode troubleshooting? Here, we have two ways: First, use the U disk with WinRE image to drive the computer, so that you can get the advanced startup interface, you can do PE-based troubleshooting; Second, when the U disk is not activated, It can be triggered to enter the advanced startup interface by triggering Win8's automatic repair mechanism. The specific method is to press and hold the power button during the startup process until the system is turned off, and then turn it on again. When the system is booted, it detects the last startup failure, so it triggers the automatic repair process. After the repair process (which may last for more than 10 minutes), it can generally enter the blue interface of the advanced startup.
11. How to shut down completely as before?
Win8 uses a fast start/fast shutdown logic, thanks to a new shutdown process that shuts down the user session and puts the system session to sleep. If you want to have the system session also shut down, which is the shutdown method used by previous versions of Windows, you can turn off Quick Launch in the power options in Control Panel. Alternatively, using the command line shutdown method such as shutdown /s defaults to a full shutdown. If you want to make a new hybrid shutdown via the command line, you can add the /hybrid parameter. Note that on UEFI systems pre-installed with Win8, the Wake-on-LAN feature will not be available after a complete shutdown.
12. Why can't the Win8 installation disk based on U disk boot the computer to the installation process?
Because UEFI is booted from a USB flash drive, only U disk in FAT32 format is supported. If your USB drive is in NTFS format, it will not boot unless the CSM module of UEFI firmware is enabled and the firmware is emulated as BiOS. It is recommended to use UEFI's firmware to install Windows 8, as this will support many of the new features of the Windows 8 boot phase, which will make the boot process faster and more secure. Note that if you install Win8 in BiOS mode on a Win8 PC, your disk may be required to use the MBR format, and when the system starts up, it will no longer see the OEM logo, but a cyan Windows logo.
