Open the Explorer by swiping from the right edge of the screen to the middle and clicking Search (if using the mouse, point to the top right corner of the screen and then point the pointer Move down, click Search, enter "Explorer" in the search box, and then click or click "Apply" and "Explorer".
understand the different parts of
following on the File Explorer window is a typical window and its components:

navigation pane use the navigation pane to access all here: the file has been added to the list of favorites folders, your library to other computers on the network drive and on your computer. Click or click on a location on the file list to view its contents, or click or click the arrow in the navigation pane to expand a location. To browse the drives on your computer and the folders in them, expand Computers.
2. "back", "forward" and "Up" button
use the "back" button to return to a position or view of your search results, use the "Forward" button to return Go to the next location or search results. Use the Up button to open the location where you saved the folder you are viewing (sometimes called a parent folder).
3. Ribbon
use the ribbon to perform common tasks such as copy, move, create a new folder, send email, view and change the compression project. The tab will change to show additional tasks that apply to the selected item. For example, if you select "Computer" in the navigation pane, the tabs displayed on the ribbon will be different from the tabs that appear when you select a folder in the Music Library. If you don't see the ribbon, tap or click the Expand Ribbon button at the top right or press Ctrl+F1. 4.
column address using the address field can enter or select a location. Click or click on a part of the path to enter the level, or click or click at the end of the path to select the path to copy.

This is a list of files to display the current location of the folder or library content. It's also where you're looking for search results after entering a search term in the search box.

column headings in the "Details" view, you can use the column headings to change the file list are organized. For example, you can click or click the "Modify Date" heading to sort by date (the most recently used file is at the top). If you click or click the column header again, the oldest file is placed first. Long press or right click on a column heading to select additional columns to add. To learn how to switch to the Details view, see the "Changing Views" section later in this topic.

search box enter a word or phrase in the search box to find items in the current folder or library. The search begins immediately after typing. So, for example, when you type "B", all files whose names begin with the letter B will be displayed in the file list.
8. Status Bar
use the status bar to quickly see the total number of items for a location, or the number of items selected and their total size.
9. Details pane
use the details pane, you can view the most common properties associated with the selected file. File properties provide more details about the file, such as the author, the date the file was last changed, and any descriptive tags that may have been added to the file. If you don't see the details pane, tap or click the View tab, then tap or click Details Pane.

use the preview pane preview pane can view the contents of the file, such as Office documents, without having to open it in the app. If you don't see the preview pane, tap or click the View tab, then tap or click Preview Pane.
