To add music to the music app within Windows 8 Release Preview:
1. On your computer's Windows 8 default screen, find and click the quo;desktop" Piece. You will be transferred to the classic desktop view. 2. Select “Windows Explorer" (the manila folder next to the Internet Explorer icon). 3. Under “Library>, select “Music”. 4. Right-click on “Music” and select “Properties”. 5. Click “Add”. 6. Music will be added to the folder where you store your music. 7. Click “OK”.
PS:
If the music content is stored externally (for example, on a USB flash drive or external hard drive), you can copy or move the content to the "Location of the library" field. Within any of the folders, the music app will get the content from it.
