Win8 set virtual WiFi hotspot method

Win8 system open virtual WiFi hotspot method is similar to win7 open WiFi method, just a little different under Win8. The specific steps are as follows:

1. Run cmd:Win+X, select command prompt (administrator authority)

2. Enable and set virtual WiFi network card

Enter Command: netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=Huanr key=12345678

Ssid is the name displayed when searching for wifi, key is password, at least 8 digits, you can change it according to your needs

3. Enable Connections

Open “Control Panel”—>“Network and Sharing Center”—>“Change Adapter Settings”, this extra item MicrosoftVirtual WiFi Miniport Adapter”, right click to enable the connection.

After the connection is successful, one more network card will be connected to the wireless network of “Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter”. To make it easier to distinguish, rename it to “Virtual WiFi 2”;

4. Set up Internet Connection Sharing in the “Network Connections” window, right click on the network connection connected to the Internet, right click and select :

Attribute →Share, check "Allow other …Connect" and select "Virtual WiFi 2";

After confirmation, the shared NIC icon will appear next to “ Shared "", "wired Ethernet connection" shared to "virtual Wi-Fi 2"

5. Enable wireless network Continue to type in the command prompt: netshwlan star thostednetwork to run ( If you want to turn off wifi, type: netsh wlanstop thostednetwork to run)

6. Set the switch: wifi network should be re-opened after the computer restarts (all input at the command prompt with administrator privileges)
