Steps to compress files or folders

Note:

Warning: If you add encrypted files to a compressed folder, they will not be encrypted after extraction.

If you want to add some new files or folders to your compressed folder after you have created them, you can drag them into the compressed folder.

Some file types, such as JPEG images, are highly compressed, so no further compression is required.

If you want to use password-protected or adjustable compression on compressed folders, you can search for file compression applications online. Be careful when compressing files from the Internet installation files, as they may change your settings so that the files are not open in the application you want.

To unzip (extract) files or folders in a compressed folder

If you still don't see the "Extract All" command, the .zip file association in the registry may be corrupted.
